Square Chikwanda came to Tengenenge at age 7 as a boy of 7. After finishing primary school he learned to sculpt, developing his own distinctive style, and soon madeking carving his full time occupation. He has traveled to Holland and conducted sculpture workshops on various occasions and spent 2 years on the residence program at Chapungu Sculpture Park. Here he was inspired to create his finest works. With encouragement and assistance, Chikwanda could become a formidable artist.
